Royal Troon’s Blair Morton continued his impressive run of form this season by winning the Club Championship on Sunday 20 June 2021.
Blair overcame Paul McKellar to lift the Jenkins Trophy, presented to the Club Champion, less than 24-hours after winning The 69th Troon Links Championship, also played at Royal Troon. Back-to-back wins this weekend come just over a month after winning the Hillhouse Cup, one of Ayrshire’s most prestigious amateur events.
By winning the Hillhouse Cup, the Troon Links and the Jenkins Trophy, Blair has now remarkably won the last three scratch trophies played for over the Old Course at Royal Troon and is the first person ever to win all three trophies in the same year.
